Why Camel Wool?

For hundreds of years camel wool products have been used in Middle East, parts of Asia and Africa for protection, support and therapeutic purposes. Recent scientific studies, (some of which can be found in the Research section of our website )have shown the amazing benefits of camel
wool products. Camel wool is natural, healthy and eco-friendly. Wool fibres are not straight but are bent forming crimps. The mechanical action of wool fibres on the skin has a micro-massaging effect which affects the blood supply to this organ. The springiness, resiliency, elasticity, thermal insulation properties and low thermal conductivity make camel wool very favorable for therapeutic use. Camel wool products are breathable so exchanging air of the body part with its surroundings. Our products also have thermostatic properties which protect and insulate in cold conditions as well as keep cool in warm temperatures. In the textile industry camel wool is considered to be a luxury fibre and for many years camel wool has been used in the manufacturing of high quality clothing, blankets, quilts etc

Our 100% camel wool quilts/blankets are healthy, comfortable, thermo-regulating and hypo-allergenic. Camel wool maintains constant humidity: It absorbs moisture when humidity is high and releases it when the air is dry. This promotes a good night’s sleep, particularly for restless kids and babies. A deep, comfortable night’s sleep is vital for our physical and mental well-being.

How Do I Take Care of My Camel Heal Wool Product?

Hand wash with mild detergent and lay flat to dry

Are The Camels Killed Or Hurt In Obtaining The Wool?

No. Camel hair is collected from the two-humped Bactrian camel naturally, during moulting season where the hair falls off from the body of the camel. The hair is then collected and put through a cleansing process, to make it suitable to be spun into yarn.
